Every morning in chemistry, my first class of the day, I sit in torpor while staring at the clock.

Chemistry lab instructions seem to be written in some convoluted code that only the great Bill Nye could decipher.

I understand quandary as simply being a confusing or difficult situation. I'm pretty sure your sentence is fine.
DeleteYou've got the meaning but quandary is a noun. You don't say "left me state of uncertainty" in the same way you don't say "left me quandary". You would want to say "left me in a quandary".
