Due Now: Although writing sentences for Vocab Styx is optional, posting one sentence is required. Due Monday, March 2: Develop one of your outlines into a complete essay of 800-900 words. Your audience is the editors of the school's literary magazine and, by extension, the student body. If you loved one of your cause and effect brainstorms, you'll need to show me an outline before you begin drafting.
Due Friday, March 6: Your submission to the Greenfield Peace Writing Scholarship. Download the form and type my name where it requests a teacher signature. When you submit your piece, be sure to include a brief greeting (conventions count!). Attach your essay to the e-mail AND paste it into the body of the e-mail. Include me as a bcc or a cc (bcc is preferred) on your submission. Feel free to talk to me about your essay as often as you wish before you submit it to the contest. Put your essay in your portfolio after you submit to the contest.
