Song Presentations

Pick a song that will help you and your classmates argue that there is or is not such a thing as a just war. Bring a hard copy of the lyrics to the song to me the day before your presentation is due. Your hard copy should include the title, the artists, the lyrics, and a bibliographical entry. You DO NOT need to add your song to your Bibliography.

Your presentation should include the following information in this order:

• Establish the source of your song: artist, year released, a bit about the context in which it was written
• A paraphrase of the story of the song. What is the song about?
• An analysis of a rhetorical device or two that helps the artist make an argument about war
• An explanation of how your classmates might use your song in an essay
• Anything else.

We'll listen to a minute or two of your song before you speak.
