- A new approach to Rhetorical Analysis: Break the essay into sections. Move through the essay from beginning to end, focus on the beginning, the parts of the body, and the conclusion. Analyze the strategies the author uses in each part and how they work together. Look at how the parts build upon each other. Analyze how the author's closing drives the point home.
