Peer Review Guidelines

-->
Write all over your partner's paper. Be sure to attend to the good, but if you only offer praise you've done little to help your partner.

As you read your partner’s paper, take care to:

·      read for the good. Note good word choices, strong arguments, interesting examples, effective syntax.

·      confirm the existence of two synthesis paragraphs.

·      confirm all authors and sources are adequately established.

·      confirm all quotations are properly set-up.

·      evaluate the organization of the paper (strong opening? satisfying closing? does each idea lead to the next?)

·      make certain the author address the “Yeah, but …”? and to eliminate the passive voice.

When both partners are done, discuss the essays quietly if you have time.
