The woman grinned and put up her hand, spreading her fingers wide, a symbol of her organization. Ambiguous, if one isn’t educated in the underground world. She motioned towards the three prisoners and her guest turned back to them, his fangs protruding past his lips. He took a weak step forward. Ambivalent towards who would be first at the moment, but in the end the choice was arbitrary and contemplation was unnecessary. Another inch forward, then another, then any light in the shack was snuffed out as he descended upon them, their muffled screams and breaking bones and blood pouring onto the floor ripping through the air. The woman lit a singular lantern after the carnage and produced it at the scene, the floorboards dyed red.
