    Her paper was obviously based on a misconception of the prompt; the evidence, support, and analysis she provided were not even tangential.

    Vocab 13:
    Their camaraderie was indestructible; their friendship, inseparable. Even the darkest of storms could not tear them apart.

    And Just Because I Can:
    I have no problem impinging upon the inconsiderate couple who make their affection widely known right in front of my locker every single day: morning, noon, and night.

  8. I wasn't sure what words belonged to which vocab sets, so I'll post one from each set:

    The turtle was under the impression that it would live to fight another day, but unfortunately it was wrong.

    The turtle could lie in the grass for the night, but this spot would pose as a transient one; he must keep moving to avoid the truck driver.

    The cordial feeling of rain on the turtle’s back was not enough to make him feel better. After all, he had just gotten run over by a truck, and it would take quite a bit more than some rain to make him feel better.

    The tires impinged the turtle, and it was no more.

  10. Although he felt it was quite a profound endeavor at the time, his facetious prank in the staff lounge left a poor impression on the substitute science teacher. Once convicted of the crime, his parents sanctioned his use of electronic devices and he returned to school on Monday subdued and rather melancholy because he would be disconnected for an entire week.

    Intuitively she stalked her brother three blocks, knowing he was up to something, knowing something was wrong. He went down a dark alley, and suddenly something collided with her skull and everything went black.
