Provide the definition for each of the following words. Include the dictionary definition and a translation of the dictionary definition into your own words. Write an original sentence for each word in the list. Post one sentence as a comment (don't post anonymously). Feel free to use a word you're unsure of and solicit help from your classmates.

  2. Anthropomorphism is cold and clinical, not human and loving. Not sure if this works or not.

  3. Kim, I found anthropomorphism very similar to personification, but the way I saw it anthropomorphism was giving animals human characteristics... so maybe a sentence like "the fox is cold and clinical, not human and loving" might work?

  17. So I can't really put the word paradigm into a sentence... Can someone help me out? The definition that I got was basically that a paradigm is a general model for people's thoughts and ideas. I don't really understand though, and I think that that is why I can't put it into a sentence.

    1. Now I'm not suggesting that you just copy one from online, but on Dictionary.com on the right hand side, there is a list of different sentences using the word. I've found that those help me understand the word more in context and make it easier for me to put it into my own sentence
